With pristine waters, white sandy beaches, coral reefs for snorkeling and diving, and an abundance of marine life, it is surprising that Natuna does not get more visitors. Teluk Selahang is the closest good anchorage to the main town of Ranai, the capital city of Natuna.
There are restaurants along the beach in Selahang and the locals are happy to help you with information about the area. Ranai City is about 8 km south of Selahang and there you will find food, fuel, and water some small shops and markets, as well as many restaurants and coffee shops.

For entertainmnet you might want to challenge yourself with a climb to the top of Mount Ranai or hire a motorbike and ride to the palm fringed beaches at Tanjung Semut on the northern tip of the island. The dramatic landscapes are as breathtaking,as are the crystal clear waters and Selahanh is a spectacular and strategic anchorage for exploring the many wonders of Natuna Island.
