The Banda Archipelago is another one of those must visit places. The anchorage backdrop is stunning and the underwater coral gardens will take your breath away.

Nutmeg and clove trees so much fought over are still standing today and tours around the island and up the mountains can be a great day excursion.

The anchorages are not great. Zonnegat Bay is pretty deep and the shallow alternative at Naira Roads is riddled with current. However, both are useable and can be safe and secure with a little effort.

Food, fuel and water can be arranged and laundry and internet services are available.
Squalls come out of the north and occasionally the north-west off Gunung Api.
